Plant a seed...

"Even if the Resurrection were established upon one of you while he has in his hand a sapling, let him plant it" |

It was Br. Yaser's dream to have a masjid built here in Hunterdon County. Back in 2006, he planted the seed for this idea. 10 years later, after buying the land and going through the approval process, we finally broke ground. Being only months away from completing the project it was Allah's decree, in His infinite wisdom, that our dear brother would not see the building project to its completion.
Yaser's family has been overwhelmed by the love and support of not only this community but people from across the state. And why wouldn't they? Brother Yaser has been selflessly giving to all good causes, big and small, close and far, publicly and privately. He touched us all and now we want to give back to him.

The prophet (s) said:
When a person dies, all their deeds end except three: a continuing charity (sadaqa jarriya), beneficial knowledge and a child who prays for them |

This sadaqa jariyya has been setup for us to give in his name to a project he dedicated over a decade towards. He planted the seed for this project, let us complete it by giving on his behalf.
