Congratulations on your upcoming nuptials, Mashallah! We are honored that you are considering Masjid Ar-Rayyan as a potential venue for your ceremony. Our masjid offers a beautiful Musallah for the nikah ceremony as well as a Multi Purpose Room (MPR) for dining and socializing after the ceremony. Our current capacity for the Musallah is 200-250 with seating capacity in MPR of 130 (please see venue details and picture on Main Services page).
ICHC does not currently have an in-house imam available to officiate nikahs. All couples are required to bring their own certified officiant who is legally authorized to perform marriage ceremonies in the state of New Jersey. Please note that all taking place at ICHC must follow New Jersey State Law and must be legally registered with the state. Your officiant is responsible for completing and signing the marriage license on the day of the ceremony. The committee can provide more details on how to register the marriage with the state.
Nikahs are a wonderful time for families to come together and celebrate and our volunteers work hard to ensure things go smoothly on your big day! You will be assigned a dedicated point of contact from the Services Committee who will guide you through our event booking process as the details of the venue itself. We highly recommend a walk-through of the venue by the bride and/or groom (or family members) to discuss their specific needs, as this has proven to ensure a seamless event.
