Assalaamu alaikum Parents of KG,
We hope that you all are doing well by the grace of Allah Almighty. My name is Fareha Ishaq, I will be your child’s KG teacher this year. I am an experienced teacher and have been with ICHC weekend school for three years. Reading and continuous learning are my passion and I hope to have the opportunity to develop Islamic ethics and manners in our children. I enjoy walking, hiking and gardening.
This year we will be focusing on some basic Islamic topics in a fun and interactive way. We will be learning nasheeds, short surahs, stories of the Prophets of Allah (swt) and other topics through fun crafts and activities. We will also continue to work on our Islamic manners, Arabic letters and counting this year.
The purpose of this class is to develop love for Islamic learning and help these young minds find answers to questions that they may have about Islam. Their time in Friday school will also help them build lifelong friendships. We strive to make Friday school a great experience for the kids.
Required Materials:
1. Student Workbook Level KG by Mansur Ahmad and Husain A. Nuri
2. School-provided backpack and folder
Expectations:
1. Be respectful of each other.
2. Since this class will only meet once a week, we plan on giving small amount of homework to reinforce what we are working on in the classroom. We appreciate your help in this matter in advance.
3. Please pack a water bottle with your child, a scarf for girls, and ensure they have wudu BEFORE coming to school inshahAllah.
Jazakallahkhairan!
