Post-Eid Picnic: ICHC will hold a post-Eid Pot Luck Community Picnic on Sunday, September 18, starting at noon, insha Allah. The picnic will be held at Spruce Run Recreation Area, in Picnic Area 5. To get there, go straight for about .5 miles after passing the guard house near the entrance to Spruce Run.
This is a pot luck picnic, so please bring a dish. The Center will provide Hamburgers, Hot Dogs, Soda, and paper products. In case of questionable or bad weather, please check our web site to find out if the picnic is being postponed or cancelled. Jazzakum Allah Kheir.
Sunday School: Another school year is upon us and we are pleased to announce the opening of the registration process for our 2016-2017 school year. The Sunday School is held at Hunterdon Central Regional High School. A map showing the correct entrance to use for the Sunday School can be found here. The registration form can be found here. Please fill the registration form and email it to
. Prompt return of the forms is much appreciated and necessary for planning purposes.
Please note students will be tested on the 1st day of school (Sep. 18) on Quranic and Arabic studies. These evaluations help us assign students based on their Arabic and Quran knowledge. The Islamic studies classes are grouped by students’ age.
The school hours are 10:00 am to 2:00 p.m.
Evening School for Children: The ICHC Evening School program will start once again this September, inshAllah. This semester a Mommy & Me class will be offered, where a parent/guardian accompanies 4-year-old and under students. Other classes range from ages 5 to 11. Along with an emphasis on Qur'an reading, etiquette and stories about the Prophets, in the past there have been activities such as Paint Nite and nature walks. Not only do the children learn about the various aspects of Islam, they also get a chance to participate in fun and social activities, strengthen their bonds between each other.
Registration Open for Adult Arabic Classes: ICHC is offering three levels of Arabic classes for the 2016-2017 academic year. These are:
- Arabic for Beginners
- Classical Arabic Level I
- Classical Arabic Level III
